The next step in choosing the perfect gate for your home is to measure the opening accurately (including width and height). Make sure that the gate you select fits to the width of your space. Many Summer by Ingenuity gates come in a variety of heights and widths, including extensions of different sizes so that you can configure the optimal barrier for your home.
Choose Your Installation Method
Installing in a doorway or hallway? Use the no-drill pressure mount system with adhesive wall cups and tension bolts – no drilling into your walls or trim. Using the gate at the top or bottom or stairs? The included hardware kit allows you to drill into the wall which anchors your gate for added security, so you can get back to spending quality time with your family in their newly-secured space.
Gate Installation Helpful Hints
Your gate may appear bent when you take it out of the box – rest assured that this is not a defect and will be corrected upon proper installation. As you tighten the gate against the wall, the frame will straighten and no longer appear bent. This product includes additional extensions so you can use the number needed to fit the width of your space.

Additional Features
This gate has a walk-through door that can swing open both ways. Its convenient design allows adults to walk through by simply sliding the safety lock back and lifting the lever handle. The door's hold-open feature engages when door is opened greater than 90 degrees and auto-closes when opened less than 90 degrees. It also includes a door stopper that prevents the door from swinging outward when it's installed at the top of stairs.
