The wall pad has a soft rubber back pad, which can prevent the gate from leaving marks on the walls, door frames, baseboards, railings, etc. of your home. Use the wall pad to minimize damage to the wall.
The screws are coverd by the wall cup guard pads, they are smooth surface also protect child's hands when they touch the screws out of curiosity.

Each set comes with 4 wall protectors and 4 spindle rods, one for each spindle rod in a typical pressure gate installation.
No-Slip Padding

Extra Length
The Baby Gate Rail Adapter for Stairs has an adequate length of 4.9" (125cm). Extra long wall mount accessories screw rod adapter bolts that you can adjust the size to reach your stair gate railing.
Higher lips
The main positive is that the center walls of these pads have higher lips. This higher wall prevents the gate from being popped out of the pad.
Rectangular Wall Cups Features
These are usually about 2" x 6". They put slightly more pressure on your walls than the large circular protectors, but they fit into places the circular ones won't.
I suggest using these in two types of places:
- – In the horizontal orientation for ALL lower gate supports, EXCEPT in places where your horizontal wall space is only a few inches (such as the bottom of a narrow door frame). This will allow you to position the gate as close to the floor as possible.
- – In the vertical orientation for UPPER gate supports in a narrow door frame.
