    Just keep turning the screws on the end of each side of the gate. It will tighten until the gate door closes.

    how tall are these gates? and how far apart are the slats?

    30 inch tall and the slats are about 2.16 inches. Pup can't get through.

    Does it have a stay open feature?

    Once open less than 90° and the baby gate will close itself, open past 90° and it will stay open.
